Installation & Setup
🔌 Step 1: Connect GenRouter to the Internet
Plug your Internet cable (from your main modem or source) into the WAN port of the GenRouter.
This allows GenRouter to receive internet connection.
📶 Step 2: Connect your device to GenRouter WiFi
On your phone or computer, go to WiFi settings.
Look for the WiFi name starting with:
GENROUTER_2.4GorGENROUTER_5GConnect to this WiFi network.
🌐 Step 3: Access the GenRouter control panel
Open a web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)
Type this address in the URL bar:
192.168.5.1:9000Press Enter to access the control panel.
If you see the login screen, you’ve successfully connected to the GenRouter system 🎉 From here, you can start setting up your proxy, VPN, and other features.
💡 Tip: It’s recommended to use a laptop or PC for the first-time setup for easier navigation.
